They know hair, they love hair, and they stay on top of what’s happening in the industry through continuous training and education so you’re never getting yesterday’s techniques.
Whether you’re coming in for a clean trim, a bold color transformation, balayage, or just need someone to finally get your cut right — this team has the experience and the eye for it. They keep up with trends without losing sight of what actually works for each individual client. No cookie-cutter results here.

Jennifer DePaulis
Owner & Master Stylist
Jennifer DePaulis is the founder of Lusso Hair Studio & Spa and a master colorist with over two decades of experience. She has built her reputation on a refined eye, thoughtful consultations, and color and extension work that feels effortless and completely tailored to each guest. With over seven years as an extension specialist, she creates custom extension services designed to enhance natural hair while keeping movement, softness, and longevity intact.
A true believer in continual growth, Jennifer has trained with top industry names including Goldwell, Redken, Wella, Davines, Schwarzkopf, Joico, and Hanzo — and brings that same standard of advanced education to her entire team.
Beyond the salon, Jennifer is co-owner of Elevated Catering Company alongside her husband, Chef Brian DePaulis, where they bring that same love of hospitality to weddings and special events. When she’s not behind the chair, she’s traveling, making memories with her three kids, and spending time with her family and their two mini goldendoodles.
Her vision for Lusso has always been simple — a beautiful, welcoming space where exceptional service, artistry, and genuine connection all come together.
Kelly Phelps
Stylist
Kelly’s love for hair started long before she ever set foot in a salon professionally. Growing up, her grandmother had a beauty shop right inside her home, and Kelly spent plenty of time there watching the magic happen. Seeing how a great haircut or color could make someone feel confident and happy sparked a passion that stuck with her ever since. She’s been behind the chair for over 23 years, and early in her career had the opportunity to assist a well-known stylist — an experience that shaped her technique, her work ethic, and gave her a few industry secrets she still uses today.
Kelly specializes in beautiful blondes, multi-dimensional color, and short haircuts that actually behave when you style them at home. She loves helping clients find a look that feels fresh, natural, and easy to maintain. Sitting in her chair feels more like catching up with a friend — she’s easy to talk to, genuinely listens, and creates a relaxed, fun experience all within the luxury of a beautiful salon setting.
Outside the salon, Kelly is a proud single mom and dog mom to her mini Bernedoodle, who absolutely thinks he runs the house. She deeply values the relationships she builds with her clients and looks forward to every appointment — because great hair and good conversation really are the perfect combination.
Liz Ashley-Jarrell
Stylist
Life is stressful enough — your hair shouldn’t be. That’s the experience Liz Ashley creates behind the chair. With over 15 years of experience, she has built a reputation for effortless, elevated results that are tailored entirely to each client. She specializes in lived-in color, balayage, gray coverage, and dimensional blonding — all designed to grow out beautifully and fit naturally into your lifestyle.
Liz also specializes in tape-in extensions and is certified in both DonnaBella and JZ extension methods. Her approach goes beyond just adding length or volume — she focuses on a complete transformation that enhances your natural beauty and elevates your overall style and confidence. She works with industry-leading color lines including Wella and Redken and stays committed to continued education so her clients always leave feeling current and completely cared for.
Outside the salon, Liz is devoted to her husband and growing family — but her clients and her passion for this craft are a very close second.

Jennifer Miller
Stylist
Jennifer’s love for hair started early — growing up in her mother’s salon, she watched firsthand how the beauty industry creates lifelong relationships, and she knew she wanted to be a part of that. She began her career in 2007 after graduating from Leon’s Beauty School, then spent over two years assisting a stage artist for Big Sexy Hair, where she built a strong foundation in color techniques and creative cutting.
She is passionate about staying current through continuing education and brings that knowledge into every appointment. One of Jennifer’s greatest strengths is that she truly listens — she wants every client to feel heard and to take an active role in their styling decisions. Her goal is simple: for every person who sits in her chair to walk out feeling more confident than when they walked in.
She takes pride in making every hair experience feel relaxed, personal, and memorable.
Brandi Tedder
Stylist
Brandi is a creative, detail-oriented stylist who has grown into a valued part of the Lusso Hair Studio & Spa team. She specializes in dimensional color techniques and vivid, expressive palettes that are as unique as the clients she creates them for. Her work is personal — she takes the time to truly listen, ask the right questions, and collaborate so the end result feels authentic and beautiful.
Through advanced education with Joico, Redken, Brazilian Blowout, and Pulp Riot, Brandi stays sharp and current with modern color techniques and trends. With years of hands-on experience behind the chair, she brings both the skill and the intention to every appointment.
Her goal is simple — for every guest who sits in her chair to leave feeling refreshed, confident, and truly seen. She looks forward to welcoming both new and returning clients to Lusso.
Jessica Espinosa-Grubbs
Stylist
Hair is literally in Jessica’s blood. She grew up surrounded by it — her grandmother and mother were hairstylists, and that love for the craft carried right through the family tree. Her little sister and two cousins have since followed the same path and become licensed cosmetologists themselves. For Jessica, beauty school wasn’t just a career choice, it was a natural next step. She’s been behind the chair since 2000, and those decades of experience show in everything she does.
Known for her upbeat spirit and ability to make any appointment feel like time well spent, Jessica has a gift for making clients feel both beautiful and genuinely comfortable. She believes a great conversation, a few laughs, and great hair can turn anyone’s day around — and her clients would absolutely agree. She has a special love for cutting men’s and kids’ hair, and also offers nail services for clients looking for a full experience. Her training includes Keratin Complex Coppola, Brazilian smoothing treatments, Reuzel, Joico, and Rusk.
At home, Jessica is a proud wife to her husband Chris and mom to three kids — plus two dogs who probably keep things interesting. When she’s not at the salon, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen cooking for the people she loves, with Mexican cuisine being a personal favorite, or planning the next family trip.
Leslie Rogers
Stylist
With 48 years behind the chair, Leslie Rogers is a true legend in the industry. She launched her career in Charlotte, NC, going into business for herself shortly after graduation before making her way to Winston-Salem — where she joined the HairPlus/Sheer Pleasure salon chain and earned the title of #1 stylist out of 64 locations. That kind of track record doesn’t happen by accident. Leslie’s favorite brands include Guy Tang and Wella for color, and she swears by Kenra for styling. But what has kept her in this industry for nearly five decades isn’t just the craft — it’s the people. The relationships she has built over the years and the way doing hair has kept her completely in tune with style, color, and the world around her are what she treasures most.
These days Leslie sees a select few clients, and those who get a seat in her chair are lucky to have her. Outside the salon, she and her husband Robert have five grown children between them and 13 grandchildren keeping life full and wonderful.

NC Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapist #21959
Kavita Singh
Nail Technician
Kavita Singh is a highly talented licensed esthetician serving Winston-Salem and the greater Triad area, bringing over 15 years of skin care experience to the Lusso Hair Studio & Spa team. Kavita is devoted to her craft and widely known for her precision in the art of traditional eyebrow threading — a skill she has truly mastered over her years as a beauty professional.
Beyond threading, Kavita offers a full range of skin care services including facials, chemical peels, waxing, and hydrofacials, making her your go-to for all things skin. Her attention to detail, gentle touch, and genuine care for every client make each appointment feel like a personalized experience from start to finish.
Meg Cummings
Nail Technician
Meg Cummings is a nail technician trained at NC Nails Academy II with a true passion for the art of nails. Her specialties include builder gels and Gel-X, though she loves working with every style and technique that comes her way. Meg has a gift for nail design and genuinely sees every set as a canvas — no two are ever the same.
When she’s not behind the nail desk creating her latest masterpiece, you can find Meg spending time with her friends and family, taking her dog out for walks and rides, getting lost in a good book, or shopping — a lot. Her warm personality and attention to detail make every client feel right at home.
Chau Nguyen
Nail Technician
With over 25 years in cosmetology, Chau has built a career that speaks for itself. Specializing as both an esthetician and nail technician, she has dedicated her professional life to her craft — and that dedication led her to achieve one of her biggest goals: owning her own nail salon. Running a successful business has only deepened her skills, her standards, and the lasting relationships she has built with her clients along the way.
Chau works exclusively with trusted professional products including OPI and DND, because delivering long-lasting, high-quality results is something she simply doesn’t compromise on. Her clients know what to expect when they sit down with her — consistency, care, and work they’ll be proud to show off.
Chau moved to America in 2000 and has made Winston-Salem her home. Outside of the salon, family is everything to her — she treasures the time she gets to spend with her husband and son. That same warmth she brings to her family carries right into the way she treats every client who comes through the door.
Violet Tran
Nail Technician
Violet’s roots in the beauty industry run deep. The youngest of seven children in a family that immigrated from Vietnam in the early 1980s, she grew up watching the craft firsthand — working alongside family in salons across North Carolina and Puerto Rico. That foundation gave her a head start that 29 years behind the nail table has only built upon. She now proudly serves clients in both Winston-Salem and Mooresville.
Violet specializes in acrylics and nail art, working with OPI and DND to deliver consistent, high-quality results. But what she’s most known for is the relationships she builds. Over nearly three decades, her clients have become more than regulars — they’ve become friends, and that genuine connection is something she treasures deeply.
Born in Texas and raised in the South, Violet is as full of personality as she is talent. When she’s not at the salon, she’s lifting weights, snowboarding, traveling the world, dancing bachata, or cooking up something gourmet in the kitchen. She’s a proud dog mom to her very spoiled cockapoo Anabel, a die-hard New Orleans Saints and Duke Blue Devils fan — and somehow still a self-proclaimed homebody.
